Today is my favorite day of the year.
And as you read this, I am most likely dancing in the streets, deep in the heart of Mardi Gras.
I’ll see you on the other side!

1. Talking to “Uncle Chuck”
My dialogue with Chuck Ceraso was phenomenal. We discuss insights about the state of awakening, misconceptions around it, traps you may encounter, and much more.
A couple months ago, Michael Ceraso (who appears in the discussion at the end of the video) told me about his “Uncle Chuck” who he said was his main source of guidance around awakening.
In an email, Michael wrote: “He says that although he identifies with the cosmos now, that which notices, he still retains the fingerprint of Chuck.”
When I read that I thought, “Wow. This Uncle Chuck really gets it.”
More than that, I was impressed by the simplicity of that visual image and how much it conveys about the state of awakening in only a few words.
When I had my first talk with Chuck (unrecorded, unfortunately) it turned out he had a number of other clean and simple descriptions of his experience of awakening that were both beautiful and illuminating of what this experience is like.
It’s like watching a movie with a great cast, amazing sets, drama and plot twists.
It’s like waking up in the dream, but the dream goes on.
It’s like having little spots of lights beaming out from all over your body. And the spots get bigger, and bigger, until there’s no matter left in you at all.
It’s the realization that I am not Chuck having an experience of Being, but Being having an experience of Chuck.
We decided to do a second, recorded, conversation (link below) with a small audience.
On a personal level, something gets transferred from one person to another when you are in deep dialogue and presence with them. I hope some of that comes through to you as you watch our dialogue:
